Popular soul group Style plus has broken up, one of their members,Tunde has gone rogue. The group popularly known for their hitsong ‘Olufunmi‘, has been trying to find their footing on the music scene for some years now, which might have resulted in Tunde’s exit.
Tunde has rebranded himself and now goes by the name Nativeboy, He has dropped some single and is officially signed to his own music label B.A.T music.Tunde Akinsanmi

Tunde Akinsanmi is first a music lover then a music maker. Born into a family of Seven in Nigeria, he had his early musical influences from both Local and International artistes some of which are Boyz II men,112, Jagged Edge, Stevie Wonder, usher, James last, Bob Marley, King Sunny Ade, Fela Anikulapo Kutiand many others. Tunde is a graduate of Federal University of Technology, Akure.
In 1997 he teamed up with Shifi Emoefe , Yemi Akinwonmi and Lanre Faneyi to form the group STYL which later evolved to the award winning group Styl-Plus with the addition of Zealous Onyecheme when Lanre passed away in 1999 and Yemi left the band. Styl-Plus have performed worldwide including USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Nigeria & more. The Group have preformed with a number of artists including Shaka Demus and Pliers, Femi Kuti, 2 Face, Jazzman Olofin, Ruggedman, P-Square and opened concerts for Wyclef Jean, Boyz II Men and Yvonne Chaka Chaka. The group has received numerous Nigerian National awards as well as International awards by Channel O, Amen Awards and Kora Award nominees. In 2005, Call My Name won best R&B video award by Channel O South African music station.

In 2008 Tunde Akinsanmi founded BAT Records Nigeria LTD which is a parent company to BAT Records Studios and BAT Clothing Company.
BAT which is an acronym derived from BEATZ AND TECHNIQUES has worked with various artistes in music production some of which are Styl-Plus with IMAGINE THAT and JEKASERELO, MENYA NIMYEL with SUGARLAND, X-PROJECT with NEVER GIVE UP and more.

In 2009, he was bestowed the prestigious YOUTH AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE AWARD by WORLD YOUTH FEDERATION FOR WORLD PEACE due to his efforts at promoting peaceful coexistence amongst people of diverse backgrounds in Northern Nigeria.
